The LOUDEST show I've ever performed. Even the recording is blown out. I sure didn't have release to this, but I wanted to, and unlike a lot of the live recordings on the HW bandcamp, I think this one's earned a spot in the discography. It's fun hearing my songs run through a theoretical filter that makes everything sound like the Goslings' album Grandeur of Hair. A lot of people stood outside during our set. While we were playing, I wondered if it was people who came to see Swansun and didn't really wanna stay, but in hindsight it's because we were extremely loud. The live album is called We Got The Punks Dancing because, somewhere during the set, some people in the crowd with ostensibly punk clothes and haircuts got really into it and started dancing. That was enough for me to be happy with the show. The songs don't matter. The performance doesn't matter. If you want to hear HW at its absolute noisiest, listen to this.
