RESORT FOR VIOLINS

My first songs as a college student. I saw the titles "Demotion" and "Sugar" on a GBV setlist in a dream I had. "Tiddles the Pastor" was the first of these that I wrote. The cover art was from a side project that never got off the ground called SKi TRiP '69. The "bass" is a guitar with an octave pedal, since I didn't have a bass in my dorm room for the first month or so. The chorus originally said "if god loves me, why does he let me love lesbians?" but I couldn't imagine that line going well with anyone. I can say this now that I'm a woman, and falling in love with lesbians would be appropriate if I wasn't aromantic. It's still the hit of the EP. I got the "Tiddles" name from a license plate on my street I lived in (before college). I don't remember how it became a song about a dirty pastor.
