2 outtakes from Tear The Night Apart. The A-side, "Into The Golden Amazon", was my attempt at writing an XTC-esque drumbeat. I was trying to be Terry Chambers. The song I wrote over the beat isn't terrible but it's a bit lacking, and at the time I probably thought it was a bit repetitive. Ironically, a lot of the songs that actually made the album also feature a lot of repetitive songs, but I guess I thought those were better than this one. That may be true. The B-side, "River of Nothing (Dry Mix)", is called that because all the reverb knobs were turned down on my Tascam DP008-ex. I also made a Wet Mix that was going to be on the album at some point, but it turns out turning the reverb knobs all the way up is a good way to make your song sound worse, so that mix is lost to time.
