Oh cool, 64 songs I didn't write. These are all songs from the Guided By Voices universe (only 31 of the 64 are actually GBV songs) that I covered in late 2020 and early 2021. Interestingly, it's the only HW release to come out on my birthday. I don't really remember why I made this, just that it was fun to have a less serious recording project as I was wrapping up Hole of Infinity and starting No Victories. Would I make something like this today? No, definitely not. I have, however, done a few GBV covers sets (mostly in Dayton, Ohio), and I think all of those sets have had at least 1 song I did for this. It's hard to think of anything meaningful to say about this considering it's all covers, and 2 and a half hours of covers at that.
Perhaps the most important thing about this release is that it got me my first Rosy Overdrive review. For a few years after this, RO reviewed most of my albums. As they got more popular and more in-demand, they reviewed less and less of my stuff. I've decided that's a good thing. I want to see Rosy Overdrive thrive, and from here it seems they have been.
